Golf Putter Fitting
69
Are you an amateur golfer who is struggling with your putter? You are not alone. One of the most important things amateur golfers underestimate is having a properly fitted golf putter. It is one of the keys to successful putting.
Putter length
The best way to have a putter fitted for your height and putting style is to have a your local golf Professional watch and measure your putting swing & style.
No two golfers will have the exact same body type/height and putting stroke. One of the first things the golf Professional will measure is putter length. For example, golfers with an average height of 5ft 7" should have a putter that is 35" long.
Putters don't lie
The golf putter lie angle is very important. The blade/sole of the putter should be flat on the ground! If the toe of the putter is up off the ground, the golfer would have a tendency to pull their putts (move to the left). Conversely if the heel of the putter is off the ground, the golfer would push their putts (move to the right).
Your local golf club Professional can help your putting game by simply fitting you with the right golf putter. Then its up to you to perfect your swing and green reading abilities.
Putters can be customized after purchased. Golfers are purchasing golf products online more and more. After you've worked with your local golf teaching professional the next step is to find your perfect putter.

Very good article. All golfers should have their golf clubs fitted for them...not many of them realise this includes the putter! With about 45% of you score being made with your putter on the greens..,it makes sense to get a putter that works right for you.
