If the toe of the putter is up off the ground, the golfer would have a tendency to pull their putts (move to the left). Conversely if the heel of the putter is off the ground, the golfer would push their putts (move to the right).

Very good article. All golfers should have their golf clubs fitted for them...not many of them realise this includes the putter! With about 45% of you score being made with your putter on the greens..,it makes sense to get a putter that works right for you.
